ceremony music

Weddings are a big deal- when you hire a musician for your big day, you want someone who will not only sound great and do a professional job as a musician, but also someone who will get back to you with quick communication, and is most importantly easy to work with. When I’m hired to play music at a wedding ceremony, I try my best as a professional vendor to make the ceremony run smoothly and stress-free so the couple can focus on the magnitude of the commitment they are making to one another.

For ceremonies, most of my clients prefer instrumental music (without vocals). My instrumental song list is extensive and I offer to learn one new song for each wedding. Wedding Ceremony pricing typically includes Prelude music (30 minutes before the ceremony as guests arrive), Processionals (Wedding party and Bride), and Recessionals. I provide professional equipment which covers a large area and is battery powered (no ugly extension cords or noisy gas powered generators required).

Cocktail Hour

After the wedding, many couples prefer to add some vocals for the cocktail hour. Cocktail music includes covers of classic artists such as James Taylor, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, and Paul Simon.

Reception

I’ve played for many weddings as solo performer using my FootDrum set up- this can create a fun and dance-able “Full Band” sound during the Reception (without costing $10,000- wedding bands aren’t cheap…). This is great for dinner music, dancing, and sing-a-longs as the night get late.

These are 3 separate products (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception) and price breaks are offered for bundling. I have played weddings for countless couples over the last 25 years and I’m happy to share recommendations from happy brides on request.
